FACILITY

The Seaview House premises are a 10 year old purpose-built, 2 storey modern facility, designed to a high standard, with the following features:
 

•           2 large communal lounge/dining areas

•           2 small lounge areas, 1st floor, with balconies

•           1 large activities room

•           1 small activities room/library

•           1 kitchen, plus kitchen storeroom

•           3 kitchenettes with microwaves and drink
             making facilities

•           1 laundry

•           1 reception desk area and 3 staff offices

•           1 staff common room

•           1 consulting room for visiting professionals,
             e.g. podiatrists

•           1 room for visiting hairdressers

•           2 public access toilets

•           several small storage rooms and cupboards

•           en-suite and shared en-suite bathrooms built
             for the highest standard of access and mobility

•           Lift

•           power and shelter for Gophers

•           off street resident car parking

•           BBQ/outdoor sitting area

Seaview House is a welcoming, home-like environment, and provides a lifestyle that offers residents privacy in their own rooms with the opportunity for companionship and interaction with others in the many communal areas, and the safety of living in a community with 24 hour personal support staffing.
 

Seaview House will offer 55 rooms to 58 residents in the following configuration:
 

•           9 single en-suite rooms, 1st floor with sea view and balcony

•           8 other single en-suite rooms, 1st floor

•           9 single en-suite rooms, ground floor, with sea view, verandah and outside access

•           16 other single en-suite rooms, ground floor

•           10 single shared en-suite rooms, ground floor

•           3 double en-suite rooms, 2 on ground floor 1 upstairs.
 

We provide:
 

•           All meals (fresh cooked), including morning and afternoon tea, snacks, drink making provisions

•           Laundry, including personal laundry if required (an in-house laundry provided)

•           24 hour staffing with qualified personal support staff at rates appropriate to resident numbers and needs (one night shift staff member,
             sleeping, but on call)

•           Personal support to meet each resident’s needs in a timely manner and according to their support plan

•           The opportunity to interact with peers in organized and informal activities

•           All cleaning and maintenance (residents to keep their own rooms tidy and encouraged do their own light cleaning and linen changing
             if appropriate)

 

We encourage residents to maintain their independence and their involvement in the community as long as possible, and to maintain their contact with family and friends. Residents will come and go as they please. There will be no restriction on taking extended holidays from Seaview House as there is in Residential Aged Care Facilities.
